Slitter Scorer

The slitter scorer is used for longitudinal slitting or scoring of corrugated cardboard in production. Each blade and scoring wheel requires servo control, so a single slitter scorer often needs more than 30 servo axes. Moreover, a typical cardboard production line is usually equipped with two slitter scorers, i.e., "two slitter scorers and one Cross Cutter."

Industry Challenges

01

One line has two identical slitter scorers with a large total number of servo axes, making development and commissioning troublesome; node failures may cause whole-line shutdown.

02

Various machine types each require their own tool arrangement algorithm, leading to repetitive development and wasted time.

03

High total current draw and high heat loss, but there are few 750W/380V drive options available.
