From September 7 to 11, INVT participated in Electra Mining Africa 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec, South Africa, showcasing its variable frequency drives (VFDs) and mining application solutions.

At the INVT booth, customer interest centered on industrial drives, mining applications, and GD270 solutions for water pump loads. Through product displays and project case studies, INVT demonstrated how its technologies address practical requirements for reliable motor control, efficient pumping, and demanding mine hoisting operations.

Variable Frequency Drives for Industrial and Pumping Applications

INVT highlighted the GD350A high-performance multifunctional VFD and GD28 flexible general-purpose VFD, presenting different options for industrial motor control. These products supported discussions about matching drive capabilities to equipment requirements, including starting performance, load characteristics, speed control, and system integration.

The GD270 also attracted attention from customers interested in water pump applications. Designed for fan and pump applications, it combines variable-speed control with dedicated PID functions to help match pump operation to process demand. For mining and industrial pumping systems, this supports responsive flow or pressure control and helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption under variable-demand conditions.

Besides, INVT also presented two GD5000 medium-voltage drive application cases: copper mine pumping in South Africa and mine hoisting in Vietnam. From general machinery to dedicated pumping applications, INVT’s drive portfolio offers customers options for both equipment upgrades and new installations and demonstrates INVT’s practical experience in supporting reliable and efficient mining operations.

Strengthening Regional Partnerships

Electra Mining Africa provided an opportunity for INVT to connect with customers and partners and better understand regional needs in industrial motor control and mining operations. INVT will continue supporting the South African and wider African markets with application-focused drive solutions and technical support, helping customers improve equipment reliability and operating efficiency.
