1. Background

As a fundamental pillar industry of the national economy, the cement industry undertakes the mission of supplying core materials for construction projects and infrastructure development. However, the industry is currently facing multiple pressures and transformation opportunities. At the industrial policy level, environmental constraints under the "dual carbon" goals are becoming increasingly tight. As a high-energy-consumption and high-emission sector, energy conservation, consumption reduction, and pollutant emission reduction have become a must for the survival and development of the cement industry. Meanwhile, the industry's capacity utilization rate remains at a low level, and the traditional production model is plagued by pain points such as low efficiency, high costs, and backward process control. Promoting technological upgrading and achieving quality and efficiency improvement have become the core path for cement enterprises to break through difficulties.

2. Customer request

(1) In-depth energy conservation and consumption reduction to address cost pressures.
Energy consumption is one of the largest operating costs for cement enterprises. Core equipment in cement production, such as crushers, ball mills, fans, and water pumps, traditionally adjusts load through throttling methods like valves and dampers during power-frequency operation, resulting in severe energy waste.

(2) Precise Process Control to Ensure Stable Product Quality.
Cement production has extremely high requirements for the stability of process parameters. Fluctuations in raw material composition, changes in kiln temperature, deviations in grinding fineness, etc., can all affect product quality.

(3) Extend Equipment Service Life and Reduce Maintenance Costs.
The cement production environment is harsh, with equipment operating under high load, high dust, and strong vibration conditions for a long time. The large current impact and sudden load changes during traditional power-frequency startup can easily lead to increased equipment wear and frequent failures.

3. INVT Solution
As the electrical partner of this project, INVT GD200A inverter has been successfully applied to crushers, ball mills, fans, water pumps, etc., helping cement production operate efficiently with energy conservation and emission reduction.

5. Conclusion

Adopting advanced energy-saving algorithms, the INVT GD200A achieves on-demand energy supply and significantly reduces ineffective energy consumption. It can realize millisecond-level response and precise adjustment of motor speed, adapting to the complex needs of various links in cement production. To meet the requirements of large load fluctuations and high starting torque of cement crushers, the inverter dynamically adjusts the speed according to the particle size of raw materials through the automatic load adjustment function, ensuring uniform crushing particle size, avoiding equipment overload, and reducing subsequent process fluctuations caused by uneven raw materials. The GD200A inverter is equipped with a soft-start function, which can limit the motor starting current to 1.2-1.5 times the rated current, avoiding damage to transmission components such as motors and gearboxes caused by starting impact, and extending the service life of equipment. Meanwhile, the inverter has built-in multiple protection functions such as overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, and overtemperature, which can real-time monitor the equipment operation status, timely warn of fault risks and activate protection mechanisms, reducing unexpected equipment shutdowns. It lowers spare parts consumption and manual maintenance costs, providing stable guarantee for cement enterprises in high-intensity production.
