Abstract: This document introduces INVT IVC1L PLC, DA200 servo, VS-Q HMI for Cut to length machine. Which are more compatible components for a Cut-To-Length (CTL) machine application, with communication typically established via Modbus RS485 or high-speed pulse output. It solve the issue of accuracy and increase the productivity.

Project Background
This OEM, based in Mumbai ,India is an old manufacturer in the processing steel industries. Their existing CTL machines used other make servo and PLC, operated at low speed, limiting the productivity. The customer was seeking a high-performance solution to achieve faster with change of mechanical and achieve more precise, and fully automated machine with some logic modification.
Customer Requirements
The customer’s existing machines used other make servo and mechanical loop with first-generation PLCs, which were low-speed and had fixed motion due to mechanical limitation. The customer wanted to upgrade the mechanical and upgrade the logic to achieve higher adaptability to different product sizes, faster changeovers, lower energy consumption, and increased productivity with accuracy. INVT provided the economic PLC IVC1L, High performance DA200 servo, and VS-Q HMI to meet these requirements.

The cut to length line machine can do the feeding and use INVT AC servo drive. INVT DA200 supports 200kHz pulse input to control the feeding roller that ensures fast positioning with less error (with in 0.1mm)
INVT servo as a result we can achieve better accuracy as there is no loss of pulses.
For Different length, we have used different recipe and transfer the speed, position, ACC, DEC
Low maintenance and high accuracy because of AC servo motor driven system.
These machines have minimal downtime and more working time, After INVT solution production rate is higher with comparison to older system.
